Causes
Pain at the bottom of the back is very often a symptom of another disorder. This could be caused by an injury that took place at a muscle or a bone of the vertebral column. Organ abnormalities especially in the chest, abdomen or kidney can also be probable causes.
Symptoms
• A low back of the painful back is the main symptom of this disorder. This pain may be restricted to the lower area of the torso or it could extend and radiate through the leg.
• Numbness or sudden weakness in the legs is another symptom of this disease. This happens if some nerves supplying blood to the legs has been compressed.
• Aggravation of pain for long periods of inactivity.
Risk factors
• People suffering from osteoporosis are more likely to bone deterioration, causing pain in the lower back.
• A fall or any other jarring accident can cause a minor rupture in the spine, which can lead to atrocious pain.
• Malky tissues present in the spine.
• Sitting or standing in an uncomfortable posture for a long time.
